Your Literature Discussion and Mock Trial Mentor
The full version of Pachi is under construction, but you can use the demo version now. This week we are working to develop Pachi's skills in mentoring discussion of 'The Thing about Being Strong'. To use Pachi, you need to open or create a free account on Open AI for Chat GPT. Then open the following link to Pachi - Literature Chatbot. Click on one of the starter questions in the boxes that look like this:
Then, Pachi will ask which role you want to practice making questions for, and where in the story you want to start.
After you or your students have gone through 'The Thing about Being Strong' students can choose any of the other stories on the StudioCLA.org/stories website, download the pdf version of the story, and ask Pachi to help you prepare for discussing another story!
The Mock Trial Chatbot is configured to help teachers create Mock Trial Story Kits, or to help students prepare for a specific role in a story-based Mock Trial. As a teacher, you can upload a short story and ask Pachi to create a Mock Trial Flow Sheet and Sentencing Guidelines, as well as role sheets for the Prosecutor, Prosecutor's witness, Defense Lawyer, and the Defendant. In addition, the bot can provide you with an example mock trial kit from 'Nanohana Skies'.
